📌 Overview
I co-founded Morces in 2011 to help small businesses quickly build mobile-friendly websites without any coding knowledge. What began as a side hustle grew into a full platform that mobilized over 1,000 businesses and was acquired by MBA Fakhro Group in 2013.
❓ The Problem
In the early 2010s, most small and medium-sized businesses were unprepared for the mobile web boom. Building a mobile site was time-consuming, expensive, and required technical skills they didn’t have, yet mobile traffic was rapidly outpacing desktop.
💡 The Solution
We built Morces — a no-code and easy-to-use mobile website builder designed for non-technical users. Our platform offered:
- A drag-and-drop mobile site editor
- Genius Grab, a tool to import content from existing websites
- Integrations like tap-to-call, tap-to-SMS, YouTube, maps, blogs, and landing pages
- Easy deployment without hosting configuration. Just a line of code.
Unlike competitors, we offered premium-grade features for free, lowering the barrier to mobile adoption for underserved SMEs.
📈 The Impact
- Mobilized over 1,000+ business websites in under 2 years
- Grew entirely through word-of-mouth, direct outreach, and product-led growth
- Acquired in 2013 by MBA Fakhro Group, expanding its regional reach
🧠 What I Did
As co-founder and product & tech lead, I:
- Designed the MVP and led product development from scratch.
- Built the content sync algo prototype (“Genius Grab”).
- Conducted user research with SMEs across Singapore and Malaysia
- Led go-to-market, onboarding, and early support efforts
🔍 Key Learnings
Morces taught me the power of building tools that remove friction and unlock value for users. It was my first real-world dive into shipping a product end-to-end — and it lit the fire that’s still burning today in how I build, scale, and think as a Product Manager.
